The worst part of life is being sick, because it also hinders you from doing other things. Such as going to school then you have to do a lot of make up work. It is also not very fun to stay home and do nothing. But in my case it is very bad because you see, I have to get my tonsils out because I have had strep throat about 10 times in a year. I am not looking foward to that. To be honest, I am really scared, because I am the kind of person who worries about every little thing. So yes, right this minute I am thinking about when I get them out. How long will it take? When can I go home? Am I going to be in a lot of pain? I know everybody always says you get to eat lots of ice cream, well I really do not care. I could do that without getting my tonsils out, HELP I am so scared! Feel free to comment on your experiences. Only write good things please, I'm already too stressed.

Hang in there. Technology has come so far that the actual surgery is less invasive than before. You will be so happy to put the frequent illnesses behind you!
I had my tonsils out when I was about 12 years old. Honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened to me! I felt a lot less tired and was not as cranky. The surgery didn't hurt a bit - you are out and wake up to cheery nurses who will take care of you :) And the best part about it is that teachers tend to go easier on you since they understand that you are sick. Don't you worry, once it is done, you will look back and wonder why you were so worried!

I had mine out when I was 19 and I felt SO MUCH BETTER. I stopped getting sore throats all of the time (which can be a real drag). I was able to go home the same day. It really was a piece of cake. Best wishes :)
don't worry! Just hang in there. I am sure that when you get them out it will be okkay. You wont get strep anymore. My bestfriend's brother got them taken out 2 years ago.He said that it didnt hurt at all.But good luck & thanks for commenting on my blog !
